David Pratt

David joined Carpenter Pratt Chartered Accountants Limitedin 2000 after graduating with a B Com, Dip Grad from Otago University.

After becoming a member of The New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants in 2002, David took the opportunity to further his knowledge in London. Here he gained experience in the private equities industry, being responsible for the consolidation of a diverse portfolio including investments in insurance, wineries and an international restaurant chain.

After returning to New Zealand, David became a Director of Carpenter Pratt Chartered Accountants Limited in 2005. Here he specialises in the business services area with particular interest in business development, refinancing, residential and commercial property rental and tax planning.

David liveswith his wife and two young daughters in Maraetai, Auckland. A great spot to be for this keen golfer and fisherman.

Craig Carpenter

Bcom CA

Craig graduated from Canterbury University with a BCom and has gained extensive experience working as an accountant in Papakura for the last 18 years. He joined the firm (formerly Kueglers Limited) in 1998 and subsequently became a partner in 1999. Previously he enjoyed living and working in London for two years and on his return to New Zealand gained further experience by working in the commercial sector and as an investigator for the Inland Revenue Department for four years. Craig has considerable experience in all areas of accountancy but specialises in business structures, refinancing, trusts, farming and tax planning.

Craig grew up on the family farm in Karaka (which is still family owned) where his grandfather started farming in the 1920's, he attended Kings College in Auckland as a boarder.

Craig now lives in Greenlane with his wife Michelle and their two teenage sons. He takes a keen interest in the local community and when the children were younger was asked to be a member of the Board of Trustees for the local primary school in the role of Treasurer. Craig is fully involved in his sons lives and enjoys the odd round of golf, following rugby (in fact all sports), and when the body permits a game of Golden Oldies Rugby/Touch.
